Monzies Organic Müesli
for Dogs
Dogs are designed to eat raw, unprocessed foods, and
holistic vets have been recommending raw foods for dogs for
over 20 years. Dry dog foods have been cooked and pelletized,
thus robbing them of natural nutrients and enzymes. That's
why we blend Monzies Organic Müesli for Dogs from
simple, uncooked, all-natural, organic ingredients.
We want it to be as close as possible to dog food the way nature
intended.
That
means no preservatives, no artificial colors or flavors only
wholesome, human-quality ingredients like organic steamed-rolled
oats, organic flax seeds, and organic alfalfa. And because
there are no fillers
in Monzies, theres much more nutrition in every
bite meaning your dog eats less, and your food lasts
typically twice as long as most other brands. If youd
like, you can also add raw or steamed vegetables to Monzies.
Its
a simple, easy way to make your own complete and balanced dog
food and it only takes a couple of
minutes a day. In short, weve done everything we can
to make this food the best thing you can do for your dog. Give
it a try. Were 100% confident that the results will amaze
you, and we back it up with a money-back guarantee. Monzies
Organic Müesli is the best of both worlds. It offers the superior
nutrition of
a
raw diet, with the ease
and convenience that people are looking for.
Feeding Instructions:
Combine Monzies, raw or lightly-cooked
meat, and water. Let mixture soak in refrigerator for at least
15 minutes (preferably overnight) and serve. You can mix up to
a four-day batch ahead of time and refrigerate in a sealed container
or freeze larger batches. For adult and senior dogs we recommend
once-a-day feeding. For puppies we recommend twice-a-day feeding.
(For twice-a-day feeding, split the amounts below in half.)

* These amounts are only general guidelines. Individual requirements will vary depending upon various factors such as metabolism, daily activity, health, genetics, and environment.
Starting Out
It is crucial to start your dog on Monzies gradually. We recommend
at least a two-week transition (4-6 weeks for older, sick, or finicky
dogs). Start with just a pinch of Monzies, meat, and water added
to the food you’re currently using and gradually increase
each day as you decrease your pet’s old food.
Adding Variety
We at Sojourner Farms believe variety is an essential part of a dog's diet,
and thus encourage adding veggies and other healthy foods, in addition to meat.
Try mixing in a teaspoon of chopped greens, carrots, or other natural foods
such as cooked rice, yogurt, or eggs. Avoid citrus fruits, onions, and spicy
foods. For dogs with special dietary needs, consult a holistic veterinarian.

Commonly Asked Questions & Helpful Tips
Q: Is homemade pet food expensive and hard to make?
A: No. Preparation takes only a few minutes a day. The results are well worth
the short time invested. Monzies has no fillers so it lasts much longer
than other pet foods. When you consider the price per feeding, it’s a
great value. Check out this
article for more info.
Q: Can I feed Monzies without adding meat?
A: This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only.
You must follow the feeding instructions and add the proper amount of meat
to use this food for daily feeding.
Q: What if my dog has allergies?
A: Monzies isn’t processed into pellets or sprayed with synthetic additives
(which can burden the body with toxicity), so your dog shouldn’t experience
allergic reactions like they might with other pet foods.
Q: Will my dog gain or lose weight on Monzies?
A: When feeding a raw diet your dog may lose a little fat, which is normal,
and then over time gain it back in muscle. If you want to keep weight on, soak
the mix overnight, or try using meat with a higher fat content. Avocados and
alfalfa powder also promote weight gain.
Q: Is this food too soft to clean my dog’s teeth?
A: Dry dog food does not clean teeth. That would be like people eating potato
chips to clean their teeth. Your dog’s teeth are kept clean by a strong
immune system and healthy, plaque-fighting saliva, which are the result of
a healthy diet.
Q: Do I need to add a supplement to this food?
A: Unlike Monzies, traditional pet food is cooked, thus robbing it of naturally-occurring
nutrients. Still, we encourage supplements to boost nutrition for sick, pregnant,
and senior dogs, puppies or even healthy dogs. Adding raw vegetables to our
mix is a great way to provide natural supplementation.
Q: Can dogs really eat raw meat?
A: Your dog’s digestive system is designed to handle raw meat. After
all, wild or zoo animals don’t eat cooked meat. We’ve been using
raw meat since 1985 with fantastic results. Purchase healthy selections of
meat, always refrigerate or freeze, and follow recommended safe handling instructions
on meat packaging. If you are still concerned, rinse meat in a solution of
grapefruit seed extract or human-grade hydrogen peroxide mixed with water.
If you prefer to cook the meat, add a general nutritional supplement or veggies
to compensate for the nutrients lost to cooking. The important thing is to
do what makes you feel comfortable.
